Phase One (January → March 2025) – Biosphere Region staff and volunteers in Canada are invited to participate in the survey. Based on a scan of online documents, each Biosphere Region survey is customized to focus on the unique initiatives of each organization. The scan for initiatives and online survey (conducted using the Research Electronic Data Capture [REDCap] platform) will identify entrepreneurial initiatives, collaborations, learning practices, and strategic priorities within Biosphere Regions that could serve as case studies.
Phase Two (April → September 2025) – Case studies will be selected based on diversity in: 1) signals of readiness for engaging in regenerative organizing; 2) the current degree and forms of collaboration; and 3) variations in organizational arrangements. Interviews and a constellation mapping questionnaire will aide in developing the case studies.
Phase Three (September → December 2025) – Participants will review a preliminary Constellation Analysis for each case study, identify new entrepreneurial pathways, and evaluate conditions for readiness to work in regenerative ways in a workshop designed for collaboration and social learning.
Social learning involves sharing experiences, knowledge, and perspectives so people learn with, from, and about each other. People co-create solutions and adapt together through dialogue, collaboration, and reflection. Through social learning, everyone contributes and learns in ways that build trust, strengthen relationships, and improve decisions for people and nature.
