Dr. Ana Filipa Ferreira is an interdisciplinary scientist holding a doctor degree in Climate Change and Policies for Sustainable Development from the NOVA University of Lisbon in collaboration with the Leuphana University Lüneburg. Her research focus is on the management and governance of regions to achieve biodiversity conservation and sustainable development goals, with a focus on participatory processes and systems innovation. She has extensive experience in the management of environmental projects and in the design of collaborative workshops. In her current role, Ana Filipa contributes to the strategic development of education, research and networking opportunities to advance the mission of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in the Biosphere Reserves Institute, a UNESCO Category 2 Institute based at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (Germany).
