TRANSECTS

Dr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary is an Associate Professor of Agricultural and Extension Education and the Director of Graduate Studies for the Education, Development, and Community Engagement graduate program in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education within the College of Agricultural Sciences at Pennsylvania State University, United States of America. Dr. Kumar Chaudhary's goals as an academic professional have been to a) design novel approaches and strategies that promote the development of robust conservation programs and policies (i.e., water quality and quantity) through the application of program development and evaluation concepts and b) train the next generation of students and scholars on program development, evaluation, and statistical methods. Dr. Kumar Chaudhary's research focuses on 1) the application of program development and evaluation concepts to human dimensions of natural resource management and 2) the contribution to the scholarship of program evaluation, specifically, evaluation capacity building and innovative approaches to document program impacts. Dr. Kumar Chaudhary, along with his students, has contributed to and led several interdisciplinary projects focused on water quality and quantity, evaluation research, program development, sustainability, and human and animal health. These projects have involved diverse stakeholders, including minority underrepresented plain-sect communities such as the Amish and Mennonites. With his expertise in program evaluation, Dr. Kumar Chaudhary is eager to participate in the TRANSECTS project. There, he will learn from international transdisciplinary teams committed to advancing sustainable research and practices.
