TRANSECTS
Dr Robert (Bob) Patrick, PhD, MCIP, RPP is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and Associate Professor of Geography and Planning at the University of Saskatchewan where he is Chair of the Regional and Urban Planning program. Bob teaches watershed planning and urban sustainability to undergraduate students. He has supervised over 25 graduate students in the field of water resource planning and management. His community-based research involves the protection of drinking water sources with First Nation communities across western Canada. Bob developed drinking-water protection guidelines for the governments of Canada, the Northwest Territories, and Saskatchewan. Internationally, Bob has worked in Peru and Australia in the areas of integrated water resource management and regional planning. His current projects include watershed planning and community-based climate change adaptation planning with First Nations. Bob has authored 2 books and over 30 academic articles. He regularly provides webinars and workshop presentations to regional and national audiences on topics related to his research and teaching. Bob is a member of TRANSECTS and participated as a mentor at the first mini-TILL in Germany in August 2022.
