TRANSECTS
Dr Duduzile Ngwenya is a postdoctoral fellow for the TRANSECTS program hosted by the Environmental Research Learning Centre and the Department of Environmental Sciences at Rhodes University in South Africa. The focus of this fellowship is Institutional Pathways for TRANSdisciplinary Research. Dr Ngwenya has an academic background in Biological and Environmental Sciences as well as in Conservation Ecology. Consequently, her research interests cut across disciplines and include monitoring and evaluation, restoration ecology, disease ecology, sustainability and bioeconomy. She is excited to have joined the TRANSECTS program and treasures the opportunity to be part of a research team that seeks to break the boundaries of siloed knowledge production as she broadens her research skills in sustainability.
