Emmanuel Amaechi is a program specialist with Sustainable Development Solutions Network Canada (SDSN) Canada at the University of Calgary’s Office of Institutional Commitments. He coordinates national initiatives that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG Month Canada and the Together | Ensemble Water Challenge Co-Design Working Group. Emmanuel’s work centers on cross-sector collaboration, Indigenous partnership, and evidence-based engagement—connecting campuses, communities, and industry to mobilize practical solutions. Current interests include water innovation and policy, impact evaluation, and scalable student leadership models across Canada’s post-secondary sector.
 
Previously, Emmanuel worked at the Werklund School of Education, where he spearheaded digital learning innovations such as a podcast studio serving 50+ faculty and students. Internationally, he co-founded Green Naze, bringing STEM and environmental education to secondary schools, and Street2School, which has provided access to education for over 70 out-of-school children in Nigeria.
 
A recognized thought leader, Emmanuel leverages sustainability, education, and technology to foster innovation, build youth leadership, and mobilize collective action for the SDGs.
